A beautifully compact and functional 5-sun (approx. 15 cm) ceramic bowl handcrafted by master potter Masayuki Miyagi in Okinawa. This piece is finished with a natural ash glaze (hai-yu), formulated from natural wood ash, resulting in a rich, captivating green hue with unique textures created during the firing process.
With its comfortable depth and smaller silhouette, this versatile bowl is perfect for serving smaller portions of noodles, single-serving rice bowls, or hearty soups. It is also highly recommended as an elegant side bowl (ko-bachi) for presenting individual a la carte dishes, appetizers, or side stews.

Care & Usage Guide

Before Serving (Recommended): To help prevent food stains and odors from absorbing into the clay, we highly recommend prepping the bowl before each use. Briefly soak or rinse it with warm water before serving warm dishes, or with cold water before serving chilled food, allowing the pottery to fully absorb clean moisture first.

Microwave, Dishwasher, & Oven: NOT safe for use in microwaves, dishwashers, or ovens. Hand washing with a gentle detergent is recommended.
