True to the authentic Bizen-yaki style, this piece is completely unglazed; its raw, earthy textures, dramatic flame markings, and rustic finish are created entirely by the intense heat, ash, and smoke of the wood-fired kiln.

Please note: Bizen ware is celebrated for its complete individuality. Because it is unglazed and wood-fired, each water pipe experiences different currents of flame within the kiln. As a result, every single piece possesses distinct variations in shape, size, surface texture, and color patterns (such as natural ash deposits, iron spots, or clay variations). No two pieces are alike. The item you receive will be entirely unique and may differ from the photos shown.

Care & Usage Guide

  • Before Use: We recommend thoroughly rinsing the interior and exterior with water before your first use.

  • Maintenance: Hand wash carefully after each use. Avoid harsh chemical detergents or abrasive pads to preserve the organic surface of the clay. Ensure the piece is completely dry before storing, especially when packing it for camping trips.

  • Microwave, Dishwasher, & Oven: NOT safe for use in microwaves, dishwashers, or ovens.
