Product Description

A delightfully unique and elegant round jubako (tiered food box) handcrafted by the lacquerware workshop Kishikkou Tokeshi. Named "Tongari" after its distinctive, playfully pointed lid, this two-tier vessel combines a soft, rounded silhouette with a sophisticated "Silver" accents layered over a traditional fuki-urushi (wiped lacquer) finish. It beautifully bridges organic warmth with contemporary design.

Measuring approximately 12 cm in diameter, it is perfect for serving small appetizers, delicate seasonal delicacies, sweets, or keeping cherished trinkets safe, bringing a refined and poetic presence to any space.

Important Note on Fuki-Urushi Lacquerware

This product is finished using the fuki-urushi technique, a process where layers of translucent lacquer are repeatedly applied and wiped away to accentuate the natural beauty of the wood grain beneath. Because of this natural process, the grain pattern, color depth, and texture of each piece will vary from the photos shown. Please embrace these natural variations as a hallmark of authentic, handmade woodenware.
