Product Description
A beautifully proportioned tsubowan (a classic, gently rounded vessel shape in Ryukyu lacquerware tradition) handcrafted by the lacquerware workshop Kishikkou Tokeshi. This specific piece features a "Small & Tall" silhouette, combining a compact 9 cm diameter with an elegant, slightly elevated profile. Finished in a deep, timeless "Black," this exquisite bowl is ideal for serving small appetizers, delicate side dishes, desserts, or clear soups, bringing a sense of dignified refinement to your table.
Important Note on Fuki-Urushi Lacquerware
This product is finished using the fuki-urushi technique, a process where layers of translucent black lacquer are repeatedly applied and wiped away to accentuate the natural beauty of the wood grain beneath. Because of this natural process, the grain pattern, color depth, and texture of each piece will vary from the photos shown. Please embrace these natural variations as a hallmark of authentic, handmade woodenware.
