しなやかさと生命の力強さを持ち合わせた竹をイメージして作りました。

釉薬 ＆ 色

アメリカ、メーン州にも住むようになってから特にブルー系の色にそそられるようになりました。メーン州は自然豊かなところで空気が澄み渡り、特に光が美しい。海の色、空の色に一刻一刻変化が訪れます。

焼きによって発色の具合に幅がありますが、その時その時の雰囲気を楽しめるこの釉薬に、ブルージーンズというアメリカンな名前をつけました。珍しい色で最近人気のある釉薬です。

"Since spending time living Maine, USA, I have found myself deeply drawn to shades of blue. Maine is a place of abundant nature where the air is incredibly crisp and the light is exceptionally beautiful. The colors of the ocean and the sky shift dramatically from one moment to the next. While the firing process creates a wide spectrum of color expressions, I named this glaze "Blue Jeans"—a nod to Americana—because it allows you to enjoy the unique mood of each individual piece. This rare and distinctive color has recently become one of our most popular glazes." HANAKO
